Matcha Mondays: Create One-On-One Time With Your Child
In our family, we try to ensure that we all have one-on-one time with each other. It’s not always easy to do, but we try our best because it’s really important that we all get the quality time needed. On Mondays, Hannah and I make matcha tea together. We are usually alone in the kitchen, and we make our tea very slowly, enjoying our special time. There are lots of giggles, spills and compliments. I use this time to highlight some of her strengths and remind her of how graceful, meticulous and intelligent she is. We often make enough to share with Rich and Seth who have now become matcha lovers.
Mom: Hey, Hannie. What do you love about matcha Mondays?
Hannah: I love that I get to spend time with you!
Mom: How nice Han-Banan.
Hannah: What do you like about matcha Mondays?
Mom: I love that I get to spend time with only you.
Hannah: Aww, thanks Mommy!
Hannah would love for you to make yourself a matcha latte!
